Resolving Password Reset and Login Issues for BuildOps

Introduction

Password or login problems can sometimes prevent access to the BuildOps platform. This guide will walk you through common solutions — including how to reset your password, activate a “Time-Only” user (for admins), and what to do if a user hasn’t received their reset email.

General Steps to Reset Your Password

  1. Visit the BuildOps login page.

  2. Click on the RESET PASSWORD button below the password entry field.

  3. Enter your registered email address and submit the form.

  4. Check your inbox for a password reset email. If you cannot find it, check your spam/junk folder.

  5. Open the email and click the link to set up your new password.

    Password must contain:

    • At least 8 characters

    • At least 3 of the following:

      • a lower case letter

      • an upper case letter

      • a number

      • a special character (!@#$%^&*)

  6. Log in using your updated credentials.

How to Reset Password for Full Admin Users

  1. Hover over your company name in the upper-left corner and click Personnel.

  2. Search for the user you want to activate — either a time-only employee or a user who didn’t receive the invite.

  3. Make sure both Login Status and Active Status are set to Active. This can be enabled from the pencil icon.

  4. Click the pencil icon under the Action column.

  5. Select Reset Password.

  6. Enter a new password that meets the following requirements and hit on save.

  • At least 8 characters long

  • Includes at least 3 of the following:

  • A lowercase letter

  • An uppercase letter

  • A number

  • A special character (!@#$%^&*)

  1. If standard reset methods fail, issue temporary login credentials to the user. Once logged in, advise them to immediately update their password to a secure choice.

7. The user will receive an email with their credentials.

Note: To activate a time-only employee, an admin must log in using that user’s credentials to trigger the status to active.

General Troubleshooting FAQs

  1. What if I don’t receive the password reset email? - Verify that you input your email address correctly. - Ensure the email is not in your spam or junk folders. Add "[email protected]" to your email safe list.

  2. Can I reset my account if locked out? - Contact BuildOps Support to request a manual reset or assistance unlocking your account if you are still unable to gain access after several attempts.
