Email headers contain technical details (sender, routing, timestamps) that help us investigate delivery, spam, or authentication issues. Below are the steps on how to get email headers.
Steps may vary slightly depending on your email provider or version.
Gmail (Web)
Open the email.
Click the three dots (⋮) next to the Reply button.
Select Show original.
Click Copy to clipboard or Download original.
Share the copied header text.
Outlook (Web – outlook.com / Microsoft 365)
Open the email.
Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right.
Select View → View message source.
Copy the full header text.
Outlook (Desktop App)
Open the email.
Go to File → Properties.
Find Internet headers.
Copy everything in that box.
Apple Mail (Mac)
Open the email.
Click View → Message → All Headers.
Copy the full header content.
Yahoo Mail
Open the email.
Click More (⋯).
Select View raw message.
Copy the headers.
