What’s new:

We are excited to announce Fixed Price Items now available to use in Pricebooks. Until now, pricing in the Pricebook was tied to margins and markups, meaning costs dictated final prices. But what if you need certain items to stay at a set price, no matter what? With our new Fixed Price option, you now have more flexibility and control. This feature allows you to lock in a price for specific items, ensuring they remain consistent even when costs fluctuate.

With Fixed Pricing, you can:

  • Set a fixed price at the item-level

  • Independently update cost or price without affecting the other

  • Apply it across your workflow—from quotes to invoices—for consistent, reliable pricing.

This update helps standardize pricing across quotes, job reports, and invoices, enabling you to maintain predictable pricing for customers while protecting your margins.

Set Fixed Price Items in Pricebooks

To set an item as fixed price in a pricebook:

  1. Edit item or add new

  2. Set ‘Pricing’ to ‘Fixed’. This will make all other pricing fields except ‘Unit Price’ read-only

  3. Adjust unit price if needed, which will update Total Markup automatically

  4. Save

In Pricebook, you will be able to see what the pricing method is in ‘Pricing’ column

Note: This will only impact future records.

See / Add Fixed Price Items

When you add Fixed Price items, you will be able to update Unit Cost and Unit Price but the two fields will no longer impact each other. Margin and Markup are always read-only.

For Mobile Quotes and Inventory items, only cost can be updated. It will not impact price.
