What's New
If your accounting integration is Sage 300 or SAP, BuildOps now automatically generates a Customer Code the moment a new Prospect Account is created in CRM+. You'll see a sequential code (e.g., 1001, 1002) assigned right away — no need to know or enter one yourself.
Why This Matters
Sage 300 and SAP both require a Customer Code before an account can sync to your accounting system. Previously, this code wasn't generated automatically, which meant new Prospect Accounts created in CRM+ could get stuck and fail to sync. With this update, that friction is gone — accounts are ready to sync from the moment they're created.
What You Should Know
Sales reps: No changes to your workflow. Just create the Prospect Account as usual — the code is generated automatically in the background.
Accounting/onboarding teams: Prospect Accounts created in CRM+ will now have sequential codes rather than the more descriptive/meaningful codes you may be used to for Active Accounts created in Core. If you'd like a specific code instead, you can still update it — but only before the account syncs to Sage 300 or SAP.
Where to Find It
Auto-generated code: CRM+ → create a new Prospect Account → Customer Code fills in automatically on save.
Edit the code: BuildOps Core → Customer record → Customer Code field (editable only until the account syncs to your accounting integration).
This is enabled for all customers integrated with Sage 300 and SAP
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do my new Prospect Accounts have number codes like 1001 instead of names like ASSUNI?
A: For Sage 300/SAP tenants, CRM+ now auto-generates a sequential Customer Code at creation so the account isn't blocked from syncing.
Q: Can I still edit the Customer Code?
A: Yes — as long as the account hasn't synced to your accounting integration yet.
Q: I'm not on Sage 300 or SAP — can I still edit the Customer Code? A: Not at this time. This feature is currently limited to Sage 300 and SAP tenants.
