1. Use Google Chrome (Recommended)

BuildOps is optimized for Google Chrome, and we strongly recommend using it for the best performance.

Why Chrome is preferred:

  • Chrome provides the best compatibility with BuildOps features.

  • Chrome’s engine is designed for complex, modern web applications, reducing load time and improving responsiveness.

If you’re using a different browser, please switch to Google Chrome, open BuildOps, and check if performance improves.

2. Perform a Hard Reload

A hard reload forces Chrome to re-download the page and resources instead of using older cached versions. This often resolves temporary slowness or UI glitches.

On Windows (Chrome)

  1. Go to your BuildOps tab.

  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + R.

    • You can also press Ctrl + F5.

On Mac (Chrome)

  1. Go to your BuildOps tab.

  2. Press Command (⌘) + Shift + R.

After the page reloads, try using BuildOps again.

3. Clear Browser Cache in Chrome

Over time, Chrome stores temporary files that can cause slow loading or outdated content. Clearing cache removes these files without affecting your BuildOps data.

Steps to clear cache

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings.

  4. Select Privacy and security on the left.

  5. Click Clear browsing data.

  6. Under the Basic tab:

    • Set Time range to Last 7 days or Last 4 weeks.

    • Select:

      • Cached images and files

      • (Optional) History or cookies if you want a deeper cleanup.

  7. Click Clear data.

  8. Fully close Chrome:

    • On Windows: close all Chrome windows.

    • On Mac: Quit Google Chrome from the top menu.

  9. Re-open Chrome and log back into BuildOps.

4. Make Sure Chrome Is Updated

Using the latest Chrome version ensures you have the newest performance improvements and security updates.

Steps to update Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings About Google Chrome.

  4. Chrome will check for updates automatically.

  5. If an update is available, it will install.

  6. Click Relaunch to restart the browser.

  7. After relaunch, open BuildOps again and test.

5. Still Experiencing Slowness?

If performance is still slow after all steps:

Record the problem using our BuildOps recording link. This gives us a clearer view of what’s happening on your side.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Start Recording.

    • If you’d like to talk through the issue, please unmute your mic.

  2. Choose the screen or window you want to show, then click Share.

  3. Reproduce the issue so the steps are captured.

    1. You can also note the following

      • Approximate date and time the slowness happened.

      • What action you were performing.

      • Whether the issue happens for one user or multiple users.

      • Your operating system (Windows or Mac) and Chrome version.

  4. Click Stop Recording when you're done.

  5. Hit Submit Recording (or Try Again if you want to retake it).

Send it to Support Team for review.
