We’re introducing an updated Generate Receipt experience for Purchase Orders. This redesign keeps the same overall receipt creation workflow, while making the page easier to use, faster to review, and more consistent with other modern BuildOps pages.
What’s changing
When this update is enabled for your company, clicking Generate Receipt from a Purchase Order opens a single full-screen page instead of the previous two-step flow.
The receipt number is generated automatically and displayed as a read-only field in the header, so you can start entering receipt details right away — no more waiting on a separate popup first.
The header form and line items table have an updated look and layout, making it faster to scan and review a receipt before saving.
Before: A small popup modal shows the receipt number, then a second full-screen modal opens with the rest of the form and line items.
After: A single full-screen modal opens directly. The receipt number is fetched automatically and displayed as a read-only field within the header form.
This update changes the page layout, but does not change the underlying receipt creation process. Your team will continue to use the same core fields, integrations, and existing permissions.
