Catch Sync Errors Early with Accounting Validations
The new Accounting Validations service is a centralized way to manage integration-specific validation rules. With this update, you’ll see errors earlier, avoid downstream failures, and experience smoother syncing between BuildOps and your accounting system.
What’s New:
Early error detection – BuildOps now runs validation checks before sync/export.
Clear, user-friendly messages – You’ll see exactly what needs to be updated, with simple guidance in-app.
Faster updates to rules – Our team can quickly roll out new validations, ensuring your integrations stay up-to-date.
Examples of Validation Messages
“Customer name exceeds 41 characters” (QuickBooks)
“Invoice Summary must be less than 4000 characters” (Intacct)
“Payment number exceeds 20 characters” (Intacct)
“Code contains unsupported characters [<>&’’”]” (Intacct)
When creating or editing records, BuildOps will surface validation messages instantly. This ensures you can quickly fix issues, save time, and avoid disruptions when syncing to your accounting system.
Accounting: Display Customer Code with Customer Name
You can now see Customer Codes directly in BuildOps, making it easier to quickly identify and match customers across systems.
Customer Codes now appear alongside customer names in the Customer List.
Each Customer Record Page also shows the Customer Code for easy reference.
This update gives you a faster way to confirm you’re working with the right customer without switching between BuildOps and your accounting system.
Project Visit Indicator on Timesheets
You can now quickly see when a timesheet originated from a Project Visit. Within Web Time Tracking, the timesheet title will include a clear indicator whenever it’s tied to a Project Visit.
What’s New:
Timesheets generated from Project Visits now display “Visit” in the title.
This makes it simple to distinguish between time submitted via Project Visits and time logged through Daily Reports.
