Faster and More Reliable Mobile Sync
We’ve improved how the mobile app syncs data to help it load faster and run more reliably, especially for customers with larger datasets.
The app now pulls in only the data that’s needed, rather than syncing everything at once. This helps crews get into the app more quickly and reduces delays, particularly at the start of the day or after being offline.
These improvements make mobile use more consistent throughout the day with less waiting and fewer interruptions.
Submittals Now Available on Mobile (Read-Only)
We’re excited to share that Submittals are now accessible in the BuildOps mobile app. Field users can now search, filter, and view Submittal Packages including items and attachments right from their devices.
This update bridges the gap between the office and the field, ensuring your teams always have access to the latest project information without relying on printed copies, email, or external portals.
What’s New:
A new “Submittals” tab in project navigation
Ability to search and filter Submittal Packages and items
Package detail view with status, due dates, notes, and item lists
Item detail view with metadata and attachments
In-app viewer for supported attachment file types
Offline support for recently viewed Submittals
How It Works
Open a project in the BuildOps mobile app.
Navigate to the new “Submittals” tab.
Search or filter to find the package or item you need.
Tap into a package to view details such as status, due dates, and notes.
Select an item to view data and attachments.
Open attachments directly in the app.
For offline work, recently viewed content will stay accessible.

Create and Manage RFIs Directly from Drawings — Now on Web and Mobile
RFIs can now be created, viewed, and managed directly from mobile, giving field teams the ability to capture issues where they happen and keep communication clear with the office. RFIs appear as markups in the drawing viewer, so context is never lost.
Here’s what’s new:
On Mobile
Open your project in the BuildOps mobile app.
Go to Drawings, choose a page, and add any annotation or markup (including the popular “cloud” markup).
Tap Complete Annotation.
Tap Add Reference.
Create a new RFI or link the markup to an existing one.
Fill out the required fields, attach jobsite photos if needed, and save as a draft.
Go to the RFI tab under the project to view or edit your RFIs.
RFIs can also be created from the list or drawings while offline, and will sync once you’re back online.
On Web
Open the project’s RFI section.
Open any draft created from mobile or create one from a drawing markup.
Add clarifications or suggested answers, assign stakeholders, and send the RFI.
Track responses and update the RFI status until it’s closed.
View all drawing-linked RFIs directly in the drawing viewer.
