Mobile Sync Improvements

We’ve rolled out ongoing mobile sync improvements to help crews get into the app faster and work more smoothly. These updates focus on reducing sync delays and improving overall reliability in the field.

What’s New

Mobile sync behavior has been improved to load data more efficiently. Instead of syncing everything upfront, the app now prioritizes pulling only the data that’s needed. This helps reduce load times and keeps the app responsive, even during busy start-of-day workflows or after being offline.

What This Means for You

  • Faster app startup when opening the mobile app

  • Less waiting during sync, especially for larger accounts

  • More consistent and reliable sync behavior throughout the day

No action is required. These improvements apply automatically once the app is updated.

Cost Code Filtering for Daily Reports

Daily Reports on mobile now support filtering cost codes to show only those with a labor budget. This helps ensure time is logged accurately and reduces cleanup for project teams working on complex projects.

What’s New

Daily Reports now follow a labor-only cost code filter when time is entered on Project Visits and Daily Reports. When this filter is enabled for your account, technicians will only see cost codes that have labor hours or labor costs budgeted in Project Setup.

This keeps time entry focused on the right cost codes and aligns mobile behavior with the web experience.

When labor-only filtering is enabled:

  • Time entry shows only cost codes with a labor budget

  • Technicians can’t accidentally log time to equipment, material, or other non-labor cost codes

For equipment and installed units:

  • Non-labor cost codes (equipment, materials, subcontractor, etc.) continue to appear as expected

  • Labor and non-labor tracking remain clearly separated

Mixed cost codes:

  • Cost codes that include both labor and non-labor budgets appear in the appropriate sections for each entry type

No retroactive changes:

  • Existing Daily Reports remain unchanged

  • Filtering applies only to new time entries going forward

This update does not require any action from technicians.

If you’d like this setting enabled or adjusted for your account, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or BuildOps Support, and our team will be happy to help.
