Sign In
On your mobile device, tap to launch the BuildOps app.
Log in using your BuildOps-assigned username and password. Tap Sign In.
If you have forgotten your password or need login assistance, contact your Dispatcher or Service Manager, or tap Forgot Password? at the login screen.
When you have successfully logged in, the My Visits screen will display.
My Visits Screen
Tap the Menu Button (three lines at the top left of the screen) to access Projects, Timesheets, change your password, or sign out.
In the Visits Page, tap TODAY to view all scheduled Visits for the current workday. Tap PAST or FUTURE to view Visits scheduled for the previous or upcoming 14 workdays.
Each Visit listed provides key information: Project number, location, and work description.
In the upper right corner of the Visit overview, a small icon indicates Visit status:
SCHEDULED - Visit assigned, no action taken yet.
TRAVELING - Tracking time for travel. (Must tap to generate a timesheet.)
WORKING - Tracking time for job tasks.
BREAK - Paused for a break.
PAUSED - Temporarily stopped but expected to resume later.
Non-Billable Event - Payroll-only tracking (e.g., PTO, Shop Time).
Billable Event - Customer-billable work hours.
COMPLETED - Job finished and time tracking ended.
CONVERTED (READ-ONLY) - Office has reviewed/edited the Visit report.
Tap on a Visit to open it.
Project Visit
Time Tracking
Tap CLOCK-IN upon arrival at the property.
Tap LUNCH IN to start your break.
Tap LUNCH OUT to end your break.
Tap CLOCK OUT when finished working.
NOTE: You must submit your timesheet after clocking out. Depending on company settings, timesheets may be accessible from within the Visit or prompted via a pop-up (see Completing a Visit).
Project Information
Review the Project Visit Description.
Tap CLOCK IN when arriving at the job site.
Need directions? Tap the Map icon to open your Maps app.
Tap the + icon to add a Daily Report.
View or upload Project Files by tapping Go to files or ADD FILES.
Daily Report
Tap to open a Daily Report.
Daily Reports help track progress, resolve disputes, and keep a record of site activities.
Reports sync to the cloud in real-time for office visibility.
RECOMMENDATION: If required by your office, start each workday by creating a new Daily Report.
General Information
Update the date or submitter by tapping Edit (upper right corner).
Expand Notes by tapping the carrot icon.
Sections start labeled as “Empty”. Add information by tapping the + icon.
Note Sections & Examples
Work Completed - E.g., Demolition of first floor interior.
Delays/Issues - E.g., PO delayed, parts not installed.
Out of Scope Work - E.g., Customer requests color change from black to white.
Safety Concerns - E.g., Trip hazard from floor holes.
Other Observations - E.g., Drywall company behind schedule.
Internal Notes (Office only) - E.g., Jack Reacher arriving late daily.
Toggle Mark as Done after completing a section.
Add photos/videos if needed (ensure app permission is granted in device settings).
Tap SAVE.
REMINDER: Ensure all Notes sections are marked Done before submitting.
Forms & Crew Time
Forms: Fill out Project Forms within a Visit. Ensure the Form Type is set as Project Form.
Crew Time: Submit Timesheets for yourself and any crew members.
Select your name (and any crew members).
Add: Phase, Department, Cost Code, Total Hours Spent.
IMPORTANT: If time is logged via Project Visit, do not add it to Daily Report to avoid duplicate timesheets.
Equipment, Materials & Subcontractors
Equipment: Log serviced equipment details (name, description, duration, comments). Tap SAVE.
Material: Log used materials (search item, update quantity). Tap SAVE.
Subcontractors: Record subcontractors present onsite (company name, number of workers).
NOTE: Equipment & Material logs do not sync with inventory, purchase orders, or field orders.
Purchasing & Project Files
Access Purchase Orders via the Project Number.
To create a Field Order, tap GENERATE A FIELD ORDER, add vendor/receipt details, and line items.
Upload/view files in Project Files.
Each Project contains a Global Folder with shared company-wide documents (e.g., insurance certificates).
Completing a Visit
Tap Clock Out on the Project Visit screen.
Confirm timesheet submission:
Tap Yes if submitted.
Tap No to complete the Project Visit Timesheet.
Confirm Visit completion:
Tap Yes or No.
A CLOCKED OUT banner will appear when completed.
Capture a Customer Signature by tapping the + icon in the Daily Report.
Troubleshooting Tips
If cellular connection is lost, the app continues collecting data and syncs when service is restored.
Tap the Bell Icon (upper right of My Visits) for office notifications.
FAQs
Why does my office see a duplicated timesheet?
Likely due to timesheet submission in both Project Visit and Daily Report. Submit in only one section.
