How To Dispatch From Mobile

The Mobile Dispatch screen is a streamlined version of the Web Dispatch Board. With the correct Mobile App permissions, a user can view any technician’s schedule and create & assign Visits, Jobs, Project Visits, and/or Events to a technician.

Accessing Mobile Dispatch

  1. Tap the three lines on the top left of the screen to access the Mobile App Main Menu.

  2. From the Main Menu, tap Dispatch.

  3. To change the date on Mobile Dispatch, click the calendar icon and select a date or use the arrows to move forward or backward by one day.

  4. To view a technician’s schedule, search by typing in the search box or scroll through the list. Tap the technician’s name to open their schedule.

  5. Use the top controls to adjust the date within the technician’s schedule.

  6. From the Mobile Dispatch Board or technician schedule, click the blue + symbol at the bottom right of the screen to create an event.

  7. The + symbol is also accessible from the My Visits screen.

How To Dispatch From Mobile

  1. From Mobile Dispatch, a technician’s schedule, or the My Visits screen, click the blue + symbol (lower right corner).

  2. Tap the type of event you want to schedule:

    • Create a Visit on an existing Job (Job number required).

    • Create a Job & Visit to add a new work order and dispatch a technician.

    • Add a Billable Event to track hours related to a Job for billing purposes.

    • Add a Non-Billable Event to track time for payroll only (e.g., Shop Time, PTO).

    • Create a Project Visit to track time for a specific Project.

  3. Fill in all required fields.

  4. Tap SAVE.

How To Create a Visit

  1. Tap the blue + symbol (bottom right corner).

  2. Tap Visit (Job number required).

  3. Select Job* - enter the Job Number and select from the drop-down.

  4. Fill in the required fields:

    • Department*

    • Primary Technician* (yourself)

    • Extra Technicians (leave blank unless applicable)

    • Date*

    • Start Time*

    • Minimum Duration (in Hours)*

    • Work Description

  5. Tap SAVE.

How To Create a Job & Visit

  1. Tap the blue + symbol (bottom right corner).

  2. Tap New Job + Visit.

  3. Fill in the data fields for the Job:

    • Customer* (If unknown, select a Property first, and the Customer field will auto-fill.)

    • Property* (start typing the address to select)

    • Job Type

    • Issue Description

  4. Fill in the Visit details:

    • Department*

    • Primary Technician* (yourself)

    • Extra Technicians (leave blank unless applicable)

    • Date*

    • Start Time*

    • Minimum Duration (in Hours)*

    • Work Description

  5. Tap SAVE.

How to Create a Project Visit

  1. Tap the blue + symbol (bottom right corner).

  2. Tap Project Visit.

  3. Fill in the required fields:

    • Select Project* and add a Visit Description. Tap NEXT.

    • Schedule Project Visit - Choose start/end time and date. Optionally exclude weekends. Tap NEXT.

    • Select Technician(s) - Search or scroll to find and select technicians. Tap NEXT.

    • Review & Save - Tap SAVE to confirm.

Success Message:

Once scheduled, the technician will receive a notification confirming the Project Visit.

Mobile Dispatch Settings

To enable Mobile Dispatch, verify the following account settings:

  • Roles & Access Rights (Technician Role)

  • Labor Settings

Updating Settings:

  1. Navigate to Company Settings > Roles & Access Rights.

  2. Find the Technician role.

  3. Click Technician Functions and ensure Mobile Dispatch is checked.

  4. Click Technician Object and ensure Create Job & Create Visits are checked.

  5. Navigate to Labor Settings and ensure all Event settings are enabled.

After Hours Schedules

An After Hours schedule allows technicians to self-dispatch Jobs & Visits outside of regular business hours. When configured, mobile users can create Jobs and/or Visits directly from the Mobile App.
