Disputing a Timesheet

If an office reviewer determines that a timesheet needs to be resubmitted by a technician, follow these steps:

  1. Click “Dispute” on the right side of the timesheet header.

  2. Add an office note detailing the reason for the dispute and click “SAVE”.

Once disputed, the timesheet will display a red banner and its status will change to “Disputed”. You will not be able to make any changes to the timesheet unless you click “REOPEN”.

NOTE: Disputing a timesheet applies to all timesheets submitted for the entire day.

When the technician resubmits the timesheet, it will reappear in Time Tracking after refreshing the page in BuildOps Web.


How To Revise a Disputed Timesheet (Mobile)

When a timesheet has been disputed, the technician will receive a notification in the mobile app. The technician should:

  1. Open the Main Menu → Tap Timesheets → View disputed timesheets along with the office’s dispute reason.

  2. Revise the timesheet as needed.

  3. Tap “Resubmit”.

Once resubmitted, the office will see the revised timesheet after refreshing the Time Tracking page in BuildOps Web.

1. Can a technician edit timesheets?

Yes, a technician can edit a timesheet in the mobile app at any point until it has been reviewed by the office. However, your account settings must be configured to allow technician edits.

To edit a timesheet:

  • Open the Main Menu in the mobile app.

  • Tap Timesheets.

  • Revise any timesheets as needed and save changes.
