Censoring Job Cost Data (Web)

To help you better manage sensitive job cost information, we've added additional controls that automatically hide cost data in key areas of the web app when the "View Costs" permission is disabled for a user.

This helps ensure your team only sees what’s appropriate for their role—protecting financial visibility when needed.

When a user's “View Costs” permission is set to false, the following cost data will now be censored across the web app:

Job Detail:

  • Job Costing tab

  • Parts & Purchasing tab of Job

  • Side panel of the job page

Job Report Overview Tab

  • Viewing Line Items

  • Adding Items

Visit Tab of Job Report

  • Users without access will see a message stating they don’t have permission to view cost information.

Note:

  • If a user should see job cost data: Make sure their role has “View Costs” set to true in their user permissions.

  • If a user should not see costs: Double-check that “View Costs” is false for their role.

If you'd like this feature enabled or need help reviewing permissions, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

Intacct Users - Ability to Change Vendor on an Exported Change Order

What’s New
You can now change the vendor on an exported PO without creating a new one or losing the original PO number.

  • Use the new Reopen button after voiding a PO to make updates

  • Add or remove line items on exported POs

  • Automatically remove POs, Receipts, or Bills from Intacct when voided in BuildOps—reducing manual cleanup and sync errors.

Notes:

  • This is for Intacct Users only.

  • You can only void a PO if it hasn’t been turned into a receipt (or if the receipt was voided or deleted).

  • Voiding the PO also removes it from Intacct.

View Timesheet Notes in Web Daily Reports

You can now view read-only Timesheet Notes directly from the Daily Report on web! These notes, added by field technicians or reviewers, help provide important context—such as per diems or job-specific details—so that foremen and reviewers are all on the same page.

Automatic FormsV3 Generation for Service Agreements

No more repetitive Admin Tasks. FormsV3 instances are now automatically generated during Service Agreement activation, eliminating manual work and improving reliability.

Scan Purchase Order Attachments for Line Items

What's new: You can now scan attachments in purchase orders to extract line items—even after the order has been created!

This supports workflows where POs are itemized later, making it easier to update and recognize items directly from scanned documents.

Simply select the attachments to scan and hit “Scan for line items”.

Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to get this feature enabled.

Due Date Field Now Sync from NetSuite on Vendor Bill Readback

BuildOps now automatically pulls the due date from NetSuite whenever a vendor bill is created or updated—ensuring required fields are populated without extra steps.

This improvement reduces manual entry, avoids errors, and ensures a smoother billing workflow between NetSuite and BuildOps.

This is for NetSuite Accounting Integration users only.

New Vendor Sync Status Column

What's new: You can now view the sync status of vendor records directly from the Vendor Table.

This update helps you quickly identify the accounting sync status for vendors directly on the Vendor Table with clear labels like Synced, Sync Failed, Not Synced, and Syncing.

Quote-to-PO Creation Now Supported for Sage 300, Vista, and Spectrum

If you are using Sage 300, Vista, or Spectrum, you can now create Purchase Orders directly from Quotes—no more hidden buttons or blocked actions.

If any required job or project data is missing, the system will still allow PO creation and surface a sync error only during export—keeping your workflows running smoothly.

Bulk Invoice Export Enhancement

We’ve upgraded invoice exporting to help you move faster and save time—especially when managing large batches. You can now export up to 100 invoices in one go—no more exporting 10 at a time! The new bulk export system is faster, more reliable, and gives you instant feedback on which invoices were successfully queued and if any failed.

Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to get this enabled.

“Show Technician Timestamps" on Job Report PDF

You can now choose to include technician timestamps—like travel, working, and break times—on Job Report PDFs with a simple toggle.

This gives you better visibility into how time was spent during each visit, and helps provide transparent, time-based records to your customers.

If Technician Timestamps is toggled on, each Visit will show a section for any technician with timestamps.

Timestamps reflect the latest edits and always show in your company time zone.

Show Sales Tax Name on Invoice

You now have the option to display the name of the applied sales tax on your invoices—helping your customers see exactly which tax was used.

Purchasing Address Enhancements

What's New:

Separate Billing and Shipping Addresses for Vendors
You can now define both billing and shipping addresses for each vendor. If the addresses are the same, you can simply check “Same as Billing Address” to auto-fill.

Warehouse Address Assignment
You can now assign a specific address to any warehouse of type Warehouse. Google Maps is integrated to help you quickly select accurate addresses using autofill.

  • Manually enter an address

  • Use the vendor’s address

  • Use the address from the selected warehouse

  • Use the Job or Project site address

Each of these options will pull the relevant address into the PO, and you can override it if needed without affecting the original record.

Address Autofill and Field Separation
The Shipping Address section is now split into separate fields (Address Line 1, City, State, Zip, etc.) and supports Google Maps auto-suggestions for easier entry.

Ship To Contact Selection
You can choose a contact from your company or enter a custom contact by selecting “Other.”
