1. Login Issues

Stuck at the QR Code Screen

  • This usually happens during two-factor authentication (2FA) setup.

  • The QR code must be scanned by your authenticator app (such as Okta or Google Authenticator) on a different device.

  • If you’re trying to scan the QR code with the same phone that displays it, instead:

    • Open the BuildOps login page on a computer or tablet.

    • Scan the QR code with your phone’s authenticator app.

  • Once scanned, your authenticator app will generate codes you can use to log in.

  • If you still can’t get past this step, a 2FA reset may be required. Please contact the BuildOps Support Team for assistance.

iPhone Cache Issues
Sometimes login problems on iPhones are caused by cached browser data. To fix this:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Safari.

  3. Select Clear History and Website Data and confirm.

  4. Try logging in again.

2. Missing Data (Visits Not Showing)

If you don’t see your tickets or visits in the app:

  1. Open the app menu (tap the top-left icon).

  2. Select Clear Cache & Restart.

  3. After the restart, check if your tickets or visits are now visible.

3. App Functionality Issues

Blank Screen

  • Clear cache and restart the app (see instructions above).

  • Double-check that:

    • You’re logging into the correct environment (not a training/test version).

    • You’re using the correct username and email.

App Stuck in a Minimized View

  • On iOS:

    1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

    2. Find and select BuildOps.

    3. Tap Offload App, then reinstall it.

  • On Android:

    1. Go to Settings.

    2. Search for BuildOps.

    3. Tap Force Stop.

Tip: Always make sure your app is updated to the latest version to avoid these issues.

4. Device-Specific Steps

  • iOS Users: If you still have trouble logging in, repeat the Safari cache-clearing steps under iPhone Cache Issues.

  • Android Users: Use the Force Stop method above to refresh the app.

Best Practices to Prevent Issues

  • Keep your BuildOps app updated to the latest version.

  • Periodically clear the app’s cache to avoid data buildup.
