Problem Statement
For mobile technicians or sales users in the field, there’s no option to generate a quote with their mobile device while in the field. This often required requesting support from the office or waiting until you returned home to finalize the quote, delaying customer service and potential deals.
How This Update Solves the Problem
Generate Quotes Anywhere:
Create quotes directly on your mobile device with ease.
Option 1 is to create the quote from the main menu and users will enter quote details
Option 2 is to create a quote from an assigned visit and the system will auto-populate property, job, and department information from the visit
Fill in the required information to create a quote
Quote creation requires minimal information but users can see and fill out more details once a quote is created.
Users can review additional Sales, Property, and Customer information by clicking on the View All button on the quote details page
Users can add the scope of work, issue description, and upload attachments to a draft quote on the Quote Details Page
Easy estimations from the field
Quickly build out estimations from the field.
Technicians and sales users can now create mobile estimates under the Pricing tab on the Quote Details Page. Here, they can easily add labor and materials to their quotes, just as they would when using the web Quote.
Swipe a section, labor item, or material item to quickly make updates.
Email A Quote to Customers for Async Approval:
What if the decision-maker isn’t around? Or the customer needs more time to review? No problem! You can now share quotes with customers for asynchronous approval
Step 1: Click Send to Customer to start this workflow
Step 2: Enter the customer email, adjust message, subject and double-check the attached Quote PDF if needed.
Step 3: Select attachments that have been saved to the quote. These will be sent to alongside the email and then enter the customer's email and hit Send.
Step 4: The end customer will receive the quote via email and can approve it on mobile or web whenever they're ready.
Presenting A Quote to Customers:
Share quotes with customers and walk them through the details live. This feature is especially useful for residential workflows, helping technicians or sales users secure quick approvals.
Step 1: Once the estimate is completed, click the "Present to Customer" button to start the present workflow.
Step 2: Present Quote. Currently, Mobile Quote supports presenting only Version 1 (the primary version). Support for multiple versions will be available in future updates.
Step 3. The mobile device will prompt the technician to hand it to the customer for signature.
Step 4: Customer Signs & Confirms. The customer signs the quote and enters their email directly on the technician’s device.
Step 5/6: The technician can then select attachments and email a signed copy of the mobile quote to the customer for their records.
Email A Mobile Quote with a Web Template:
Not satisfied with emailing using our pre-built templates? We now support sending mobile quotes using a web quote template, to provide a professional experience for end customers.
With this feature enabled, mobile quotes will be generated using the default web quote template assigned to the department or, if not specified, the company’s default template. The quote will also follow the default quote configurations.
Before enabling this feature:
Configure the corresponding web template to fit mobile needs
Add the mobile-signature smart field to your web quote template if you are planning on having technicians get customer signatures in the field.
Mobile users cannot modify the template or quote configurations. Ensure the correct template is set up and thoroughly tested for mobile use.
